WARANGAL: A tragic accident occurred in Govindapuram village of Gudur mandal in Mahabubabad district when a farmer lost his leg after it got caught in the blades of a rotavator while ploughing his field.
Dharavat Mohan, a resident of Govindapuram, was operating the rotavator on his farm when grass and debris clogged the machine, causing it to stop. As he moved closer to clear the blockage by hand, his leg was accidentally pulled into the rotating blades.
The injury was severe, resulting in the amputation of his leg, and Mohan began bleeding profusely. Fellow farmers and family members rushed him to a private hospital in Warangal, where he is currently undergoing treatment, according to his relatives.
Local residents have urged farmers to exercise greater caution when handling agricultural machinery to prevent such accidents in the future.
