Hectic parleys in Delhi as Konda Surekha's removal looms
Hyderabad: Amid long-standing talk of Cabinet reshuffle and in the ongoing political soap opera on ‘strong action’ demanded by TPCC bigwigs against Endowments Minister Konda Surekha for making light of her daughter Konda Susmita’s outbursts against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy; the scene shifted to Delhi on Tuesday.
According to party sources, though the Chief Minister met AICC general secretary (organisation) K.C. Venugopal and discussed recent political developments, including issues concerning Konda Surekha and Planning Board Vice-Chairman Dr Chinna Reddy and the Congress government's 1,000-day scorecard in Telangana, in view of another meeting scheduled between TPCC chief B Mahesh Kumar Goud and AICC TG in-charge general secretary Meenakshi Natarajan on Wednesday, nothing clear emerged with regard to the action against Konda Surekha and Chinna Reddy.
So, the suspense over the fate of Konda Surekha and Chinna Reddy is likely to continue till Wednesday or Thursday, considering that the Congress high command will continue its deliberations with key Telangana leaders to get a well-rounded view of the developments on the party front as well as governance in TG.
The meeting between Revanth Reddy and Venugopal at the latter’s residence in Delhi on Tuesday night lasted more than an hour, sources told ‘The Hans India’. The possibility of a Cabinet expansion or reshuffle and the filling of nominated posts were also reportedly discussed. It is learnt that Revanth Reddy visited Venugopal's residence without his official convoy and was accompanied only by his personal assistant. Konda Surekha and Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy are also in Delhi currently, reportedly awaiting individual meetings with Venugopal.
Sources indicated that Venugopal may meet Surekha, only after his discussions with Meenakshi Natarajan and Mahesh Kumar Goud. Surekha reportedly rushed to Delhi after being summoned by the Congress high command. Several senior Telangana Congress leaders also reached the national capital amid the flurry of developments.
Among those aspiring for a Cabinet berth, Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, who also is in Delhi, met senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday and is learnt to have sought a berth in the state Cabinet. Rajagopal Reddy has reiterated in Delhi that the party high command had “assured him” of a ministerial position and that he was visiting Delhi merely to remind the leadership of the promise.
Former MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy also arrived in Delhi. He has been seeking a ministerial berth under the quota for the undivided Ranga Reddy district. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka is expected to travel to Delhi either late Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and D. Sridhar Babu are also expected to visit Delhi on Wednesday.
With several senior Telangana Congress leaders making a beeline to the national capital, speculations are rife over a probable Cabinet expansion or reshuffle, aside from disciplinary action against
rebellious party leaders and other organisational changes in the state. Venugopal is expected to meet party president Kharge and LoP Rahul Gandhi after meeting all TPCC leaders.

Each step names the agent that ran it, the method it used and the version of the rules or model behind it. A step describing what it did not find is recorded on the same footing as one that found something, so that gaps in the analysis are visible rather than absent.
