CM Revanth Reddy invites defence minister to 'Invest Telangana Global Summit-2026'
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy invited Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to attend 'Invest Telangana Global Summit-2026' to be held by the Telangana government. He informed the minister that the summit will be held on 7-9 December at 'Bharat Future City'. CM Revanth Reddy requested Rajnath Singh to inaugurate 'Defence Expo-2026' which will be held as a part of the summit.
CM Revanth Reddy met Defence Minister on Wednesday on the occasion of his visit to Delhi, where both discussed several issues. The chief minister explained that the Defence Expo will feature a special show on the aerospace, defence, and space sectors along with a prestigious air show, industrial exhibition and live display of land-based defence systems.
CM Revanth Reddy stated that the presence of the Defence Minister and the guidelines will serve as a great motivation for the industries, startups, and young scientists from all across the country, who are expected to attend the expo. The CM said that the Government of Telangana is looking forward to hosting the Defence Expo-2026 in Hyderabad.
The Telangana Chief Minister also requested for Rajnath Singh's cooperation in conducting the Defence Expo-2026 according to international standards. He requested the clearances of the airspace for the airshow and cooperation in ensuring the participation of the Indian Air Force planes, as well as the 'Surya Kiran' and 'Sarang' aerobatics team. He also sought for assistance in organizing the static aircraft display. Chief Minister Revanth requested for the exhibition of advanced military weapons from the Army, Navy, and Air Force and the participation of the senior officials from the three services in the expo.

Revanth Reddy informed the Defence Minister that TGIIC has already agreed to allocate 416.18 acres of land for a prestigious project to be undertaken by DRDL in the Devarakadra Mandal of Mahabubnagar district. He explains that the land would be leased for a period of 33 years at a nominal annual rent of just ₹1 for the entire tract, rather than on a per-acre basis. He added that there is a provision to extend the lease twice, if necessary. Minister G. Vivek Venkataswamy, MPs M. Anil Kumar Yadav, Dr. Mallu Ravi, Suresh Shetkar, and Porika Balram Naik, and State Government Advisor (Protocol) Harkara Venugopal participated in the meeting.
